Reunion Dinner

Today is Chinese New Year Eve. Its a day which is very important to Chinese.
As Chinese Custom, its a day whereby the entire family will get together and sit around to have dinner together. No matter where you are...you will make time to come back for this Reunion dinner to symbolise the reunion of the family.

Its our family custom to eat steamboat since I was young. Always look forward to this day. This is a special becuz my youngest brother Dingfeng is back to stay with us already- tho he has gone to the serve the country. Its something which we have looked forward to for years..since he and his sis were taken away by his mother (not my mum), many years back. We share the same dad but different mum.My mum is the actual wife of my dad of cuz. But we love our little brother and his sister very much esp my mum. She is very kind hearted and loving, caring lady. (I think I take after my mum in this area.) My youngest brother I believe experience our true love for him, that's why he decided its time to come back to us.

However, my youngest brother Dingfeng is having fever now. He sms me from his camp telling me..tho he is back, he is still not able to eat the reunion dinner with us. Feel so sad. No choice. Cuz this year..we also have another addition family member..that's my Eldest brother's daughter. Cuz baby is weak thus in order to make sure baby dun get sick, we got no choice but to have my dear youngest brother eat on his bed. Anyway he is still quite weak so its good to let him rest.

Little princess (my niece) is back today. I can't wait to carry her. I helped to carry her, feed her and pet her to sleep when my brother and his wife and my mother can sit back and relax. I just love children and babies. Too bad, still no chance in having my own. Even when little princess cry, I wasn't at all worry or affected by it. Maybe becuz I have that gift in this area..when asked by my da sao, my sister-in-law.

I am very happy I can get to carry little princess for a couple of days of this new year. Little princess grew really fast..Now she is round round round....

She is wearing the pants bought by my godson's mum, Sandra in Auz. Thanks dear..can you see the pants she is wearing..Its from you rite? Its very pretty..thanks..in time for new year tho its still big for her but length wise is just nice.




Oh and here is the little corner I created near my bed..I called it "THE LITTLE MUSICAL WONDERLAND"



Alright its time to sleep..havent been sleeping much..need my beauty sleep to look good for New Year.

Finally my room is done for CNY

Finally after working for about 48 hours..(longer than previous years)..

My room is done!!!! Yipee...
Just finished revamp my room at 5.30am...
hahaha..finally its bed time...

But before I sleep..here is my room's design for this year...


Separated my room into few corners..the cozy coffee corner, little make-up corner, sleeping, tv cum reading corner (which is where my bed is). And most of the time I work on my bed..as my bed is Hard Sea-Horse Brand..good for both...
My sister and Mum and the rest of the family always likes to come to sit on my bed to watch VCD or DVD on my laptop together.. all squeeze on my little bed..hahaha..very nice...and cozy..


Here I set-up a little cozy corner for coffee and chit chat while friends or relative comes into my room..


Here I converted my computer table into a dressing table..



Hee..I am really proud of my achievement every year..hahaha..
Just knocked at my sister's door- knowing she is awake to go for her mass.. to get her come see my room..cuz before she sleeps just now it was still in a total mess..hahaha..

She said..NICE>>>CAN'T STAND U....

She always say I work miracle..hahaha..

That's why I say my dream is to be a full-time house wife..hahaha..

Okie time for my beauty sleep...

Spring cleaning2

As I was taking down all my books from my bookshelves..cleaning them one by one..
many has turned yellow and filled with dust...

I love reading christian spiritual books..but was greedy and often tempted to buy more than what I can read..ended up always reading the beginning and never finished them..
The only ones I finished are the one written by shi yi nuo..a doctor who is a very good writer. My books can be found all the way from the shelves to the floor and there are more in my cartons not yet being clear out.

Back to where I was..as I was cleaning the books..suddenly I saw an envelope..its actually a normal white piece of paper which was folded into an envelope with my name and his name written on it..
Opening it up...
It was a ticket dated: 06-01-2005 one of the admission ticket to the programme which he was busy with when I first knew him.

It was the first ticket which he gave me to watch what his work involve..
I remembered I brought my mum there..to watch and told her who he was..
From then on even when he was not in Singapore, mum often ask me about him and concern about him. He sent regards to my mum too whenever I mentioned about her.

Time flies..didn't know we knew each other in 2004 Dec Christmas.

What a spring cleaning..

Spring cleaning

Its a tradition for Chinese to do their spring cleaning before Chinese New Year, to get rid of the old and invite the new.

Many old things have to go in order to allow new stuff comes in..
After shopping in Ikea for new stuff to revamp my room...
Bought new pics, new curtains, new Quilt set, a huge mirror to transform my pc table into a dressing table since I am giving my pc to my little brother so that he can his own pc and feel more comfortable and have the sense of belonging with us.

Well..actually my main mission there was to purchase two or more dinning chairs for our dinning set given by my elder brother.
Not sure why this time I was so absent minded...didn't take the pic of our 'new' dinning set so that I can chose a pair of chairs which can fit well..
no choice...did what I can just rough recall...RECALLING RESULT = 5% HAHAHA..
at the end after taking a few snaps of dinning chairs which i think fits..I mms to my sister to let her chose..At the end she say all is fine..

Had to make a decision myself..

Tummy is grumbling...feeling hungry..
Thanks to Billy..last year I helped him to design his room from scratch with a budget of cuz..and then after visiting his new place we went Ikea to shop around..Basically I am the one who shop I should say. He is not a shopping person.He can be an active person BUT when coming to shopping ...

It was a wonderful time doing shopping for him or for my family members. Perhaps its part of my nature and dreams.

As the reward for my hardwork...he gave the Ikea membership card under my name.
Which I am very thankful cuz I can now go Ikea more often and enjoy my free cup of coffee and tea while enjoying the delicious meal there.

Ikea sells great and delicious food...thus even if me and Joyce doesn't go to buy anything for Ikea..we will go there for dinner..tea or coffee..hee
Joyce is the one who got me going Ikea frequently as she is an interior designer. I fell in love with the food there since..

There are few things which u MUST TRY..at Ikea restaurant..
WORLD BEST Fried Chicken Wings..hahaha..
WORLD BEST meat balls..with the special sauce..

The salmon is pretty good too...so is the Herbal Chicken..Yummy...
Each time if I go with Joyce..we will order each of everything and share..
but since I was alone yesterday..I had to limit my order...

My sister called me to pack their meatballs for her as well..hee

After settling my tummy...its time to settle which dinning chair I want..
Finally..the winner is....



Yes..Cuz it looks classy and feels comfortable..dad will like it for sure.
I bought two of this and got 2 bright green stackable chair as well..and my other stuffs..

After reaching home..I started fixing up the chairs with dad's help and my sister help to carry those things up from the cab to our place..
The life-upgrading is still in progress..so its really tough job..

Thereafter I start clearing up my room...
now is still in battling stage...Chaos..hee..
Threw piles of HongKong Magazines aways which is really heavy..I collect magazines for my graphic design inspiration...Left a few tho..

There is time for everything. Seasons come Seasons go..
Like the Chinese New Year..
Certain things even used to have memorable value have to go so that new things can come it..fresh air can come in.

I take it as ..this is life..
Since I have tried my best to make certain things work but it didn't..
There's nothing much I can do.

Alright gotta carry on throwing away old 'precious' stuff now..and look forward to a new life like my new revamp room..

The stranger in our home

A few years after I was born, my Dad met a stranger who was new to our small town. From the beginning, Dad was fascinated with this enchanting newcomer and soon invited him to live with our family. This stranger was quickly accepted and was around from then on.

As I grew up, I never questioned his place in my family. In my young child mind, he had a special niche. My parents were complementary instructors: Mom taught me good from evil, Dad taught me to obey. But the stranger...he was our storyteller. He would keep us spellbound for hours on end with adventures, mysteries and comedies.

If I wanted to know anything about politics, history or science, he always knew the answers about the past, understood the present and even seemed able to predict the future! He took my family to the first major league ball game. He made me laugh, and he made me cry. The stranger never stopped talking, but Dad didn't seems to mind.

Sometimes, Mom would get up quietly while the rest of us were shushing each other to listen to what he had to say, and she would go to the kitchen for peace and quiet. (I wonder now if she ever prayed for the stranger to leave?)

Dad rules our household with certain moral convictions, but the stranger never felt obligated to honour them. Profanity, for e.g. was not allowed in our home..not from us, our friends or any visitors. Our longtime visitor, however, got away with the four-letter words that burned my ears and made my dad squirm and my mother blush.

My Dad didn't permit the liberal use of alcohol. But the stranger encouraged us to try on regular basis. He made cigarettes look cool, cigar manly and pipes distinguished. He talked free (much to freely!) about sex. His comments were sometimes blatant, sometimes suggestive, and generally embarrasing.

I now know that my early concepts about relationships were influenced strongly by the stranger. Time after time, he opposed the values of my parents, yet he was seldom rebuked... and NEVER asked to leave.

More than 50 years have passed since the stranger moved in with our family. He has blended right in and is not nearly as fascinating as he was at first. Still, if you could walk into my parents' den today, you would still find him sitting over his corner, waiting for someone to listen to him talk and watch him draw his pictures. His name?

We just call him , "TV"

And the stranger has a wife now. We call her "Internet".

Love at first sight!!!

As mentioned, I am one who is very devoted in love..
Once I felt in love with someone or something..Its very difficult to change my mind.

Many months ago, Joyce and I went shopping at Central..and we saw this pair of shoes which has very loud colours which we love very much...Joyce and I love loud colours.
We tried the shoes..It feels really comfortable..and the colour is WOW!!!

It comes in 2 colours I think. I felt in love with both the colours..but thinking that the blue ones is easy to match with clothings..tho the colour is still very loud and sure to catch lots of attention..and I still love it very much.

However, the pair of shoes cost $52.00 which is way above my budget. I told myself I will save money after a few months and get it..
I didn't forget this love at first sight..and wanted to get it someday..



As Chinese New Year is approaching..its a tradition to get everything new to wear for the new year..I told myself I must go to check out that pair of shoes..

I made many rounds and just couldn't find that store in Central. Just as I was about to give up searching...I FOUND IT!

And guess what????
Hahaahaha...God is really GOOOD to me...
hee...they still have that pair of shoes which I wanted and now there is 50% off..YES!!! 50% OFF..WOW!!! I was still thinking if there is 20%-30% off that will be good..but God give me even more..hahaha..

Well..but I didn't get the blue one cuz they left only a pair of my size..and the sewing isn't good..thus for the sake of my feet..I got the yellow one which looks really good on me too..tho it might be tougher to go with clothes..but WHO CARES..It still looks pretty..

Lesson learnt: Don't rush for your Love-at-First-Sight..In order to know if your love for this person or thing is true....Be patient..REAL LOVE WILL LAST.

God will give you when the time is right..and He give you even more than what you ask for..God know what is Best for us. (Tho not everytime God will give us what we want cuz what we want might not be the Best for us.)

A great place to release my stress..

I was feeling really stress and upset during work for having to bear with the blame which shouldn't be bear by me as it was not my neglect.

Didn't wanna go home and wanted to find a place to pamper myself to release my stress..
Thus, I went into this cafe which looked really posh and which I always hope to visit one day. I told myself its okie just for today dun mind how much they will charge me..



I was attracted by the many pretty and attractive cupcakes in the display and saw that they actually have promotion..which is a cupcake and a cup of coffee for only $5.. YES, $5 only...WOW!!! God is good to me...He knew I need this..and so I chosed the pretty looking Double Chocolate Cupcake and a cup of black coffee..and found myself a nice seat on their designer chair by the window..

Oh...here comes my cupcakes and my coffee...they looked so great..I can't help but to take these pics to share with you...





Looks yummy right???..hee..hmm...feel so blessed....hahaha..
God is still the Best! He always know what I need most..and what can cheers me up!
